Adventures in Doll Dresses - Oct 2015

In my attempt to make something slightly bigger, I realized I didn't have enough yarn left in this ball to finish it... so, I decided to make something different.  After toying with some ideas in my head I remembered this little doll (13 inches tall) and her identical twin sister.  A little dress seemed appropriate.  Once the dress was finished, I realized it still needed something, then it dawned on me that a little embellishment would be great!  Finally, I brought out my tatting books and found a pattern for an adorable butterfly.  Perfect!  And the gold thread just works beautifully with the brown.  So now that it's all finished, I couldn't be happier.  More little dresses and shawls and other doll clothes will be made in the future!

I hope you enjoyed this post!  It has been my pleasure to share.

Blessings and Peace!

Adventures in Quilting - Sept 2015

Yet another wonderful product I will be gifting this Christmas.  Hold your questions because I won't be telling who's this is just yet!  In the meantime, however, I am more than happy to share my photo.

I really fell in love with this material for a certain someone I know, but I didn't have any clue what to do with the material at first.  After some thought and a few reorganizations of all my material I finally decided on a quilted purse/bag.  It is complete with a little pocket inside and two over-the-shoulder handles.  Perfect for daily use or special trips out and about, I hope the recipient will love this as much as I love her.

Many Blessings and Much Peace!

Adventures in Sewing - Sept 2015

So, for all the sewing I've accomplished, I haven't posted much.  There are several projects I have started but still need something else to finish them.  For now, these sewing projects are complete.  I gathered inspiration from my adventures in Washington state as well as random thoughts I've entertained.  Any way you slice it, I enjoy my new branchings out.

Water Goblet Markers are handy for those get together using stemware.  This simple red and white marker was made using some left over materials from other projects.  Personally, I think it came out nicely.  I should make even more in other colors, too.

On this one, I entertained a random thought.  I am also getting ahead of myself.  Alex is only a few months old right now, but he already has a Tooth-Fairy Pillow.  His sister will, too.  (Alex and Nicole are my nephew and niece, by the way.)  Isn't this a great idea for a little boy?

Speaking of great ideas for little boys...

... I had enough material to make two Tooth-Fairy Pillows.

And... another gift-project is this lovely scarf.  Believe it or not, this crocheter-and-knitter sewed a scarf instead of using yarn.  I'm not telling who this one is for just yet, but I am super excited about how well it turned out!

Needless too say, I have my Christmas box already stared.  If you're looking to start (or finish) your Christmas shopping, check out my Facebook page or send me an email.  I'd love to help!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Blessings and Peace to you all!
