Adventures in Sewing - August 2015

Tabi's Creating Adventures is all about having fun with fiber arts.  Everything from tatting, knitting and crocheting to sewing and embroidery are undertaken to make practical items with an aesthetic flare.  Since I recently began sewing, along with quilting and tatting, my first products are basic but a great addition to any home.

First off, these Team Spirit Bath Towels with pockets are great for those overnight trips or dorm days when you just need a place to put your soaps and toiletries between the bedroom and the bathroom.  With three functional pockets, this is a great option for quite a few little things, and even accommodates full size body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.  Don't need the pockets?  Team Spirit Bath Towels without pockets are great for showing your guests what team they should be rooting for while they stay at your place.

Alternatively, if you like to go places or host gatherings these water goblet markers are great for keeping up with which glass belongs to which person, not to mention it's a built-in coaster to protect those delicate surfaces even at home.  It's also perfect for that winding down time of day when you just want to feel pampered.  With a variety of designs from which to choose you can't go wrong.

I hope you can see the practical and pleasing sides to all of my products.  Remember, all the items I make are customizable, so don't hesitate to ask!

Blessings and Peace!

Adventures in Quilting - Aug 2015

Throughout the last couple of years I have really wanted to branch out from knitting and crocheting.  One of the areas where I found enjoyment is quilting.  At the Loving Stitches shop in Marysville, Washington, I learned a few techniques and acquired some materials and supplies.  My first few independently quilted products are these below: two hexagon hot pads and one squares hot pad.  Using remnants from previous products, from even before Tabi's Creating Adventures, I was able to pull together some great little products.  I really enjoyed the process of matching materials and deciding what I wanted to make.  Surprisingly enough, the materials I had fit together amazingly well.

Until next time!  Blessings and Peace!

Adventures in Personalization - July 2015

While we were in Washington state, I had the opportunity to work with the Wednesday night worship group and learned to play some basic guitar.  I enjoyed the experience and wanted to thank the group for letting me join them even though the didn't have to.  I found a couple of things for a couple of the people that fit them (drum sticks for the main drummer and guitar pick earrings for the lady on guitar), but I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to do for everyone else.  Finally it came to me that I could make personalized keychains.  With that in mind, it only took a couple of tries to make a good keychain.  It was a cinch from there!  So, the last Tuesday night rehearsal I attended, I shared my appreciation through the gifts I found and made.

Each of these keychains was made with love
for the group that took me under their wings.
I greatly appreciate each and every one.

Blessings and Peace to you all!
